Open Deck / Specialized Division

Open deck trucking - also known as flatbed trucking - is a type of freight transportation that uses trucks with open flatbed trailers to move goods that cannot be accommodated in a standard enclosed trailer.

Unlike enclosed trailers, open deck trailers have no walls or roof, making them ideal for cargo that is too large, too heavy, or too tall to fit inside a closed trailer.

Step Deck Trailers

Step deck trailers - also known as drop deck trailers - feature two distinct deck levels. The front deck sits approximately 10 to 12 inches off the ground, while the lower rear deck sits at 42 to 48 inches.

This two-level design allows for the transport of taller cargo - typically between 8'6" and 10' in height - such as construction machinery, large equipment, and other tall freight that exceeds the height clearance of a standard flatbed. Step deck trailers are loaded using a crane or forklift, depending on the freight type and site conditions.

Double Drop Trailers

Double drop trailers feature a significantly lowered center deck, making them the solution of choice for cargo that is taller than 10 feet or exceptionally heavy - including bulldozers, cranes, industrial turbines, and other oversized equipment.

The double drop configuration provides the maximum legal height clearance available in standard trucking, making it widely used across the construction, agriculture, and energy sectors for their most challenging freight moves.
